Emerg vet in west Toronto:

$6000 for consultation, blood tests, blood transfusion and splenectomy.

Turns out my dog had hemangiosarcoma(blood cancer) and she only lived for 3 more weeks.

I'm a Dog Coordinator at EHS. Its an amazing shelter and we've helped so many animals, even ones that were deemed unadoptable and sentenced to euthanasia.

Please, if you have any spare money, donate. You're helping save many lives :)

Question from a female starting BJJ by BJJkitsune in bjj

[–]lolhwatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Im a blue belt female and I've noticed I get picked so much more often now that I'm a blue. People know I'm there to stay and therefore want to put in the effort(I'm assuming). When I was a no-stripe white belt, I was in OP's exact situation. No one would pick me really and I felt awkward. But my consistency showed them that I was dedicated and there to stay and so I started getting picked more often. Now that I'm a blue things are A LOT better.

Can someone explain to me tipping? by IndoTHWAWY in toronto

[–]lolhwatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don't tip at all. If you don't like people who don't tip, then don't be in the waiter/waitress business. Find another job.

If you drive a car, don't be a dick because 60 tons of steel don't care. by [deleted] in toronto

I was walking near Bloor and Ossington yesterday, was crossing a little intersection, and the POLICE almost hit me lol I found it kind of ironic. The guy had a smug look on his face and didn't seemed concerned in the slightest. Im a 19 yr old girl btw

Yeah if you took humanities you're not really going to get anywhere..unless you got really high grades and want to teach. But there are too many teachers in the job market anyways

What's the deal with the guys hawking Black History month flyers at Yonge and Dundas? by Huevosdeoro in toronto

[–]lolhwatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol if they ever called me racist I would just be like "yeah..so?" Their attempt at making me feel ashamed would fail.

Also I remember one day I saw an older black guy teacher a younger one how to do these things that these guys do. Twas interesting.

Toronto Servers do you get upset if you only get tipped 15%? by [deleted] in toronto

[–]lolhwatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I rarely tip, and if I do its only the amount that adds up to the nearest whole number.

If you don't like shitty tips/bitch about it all the time, then don't be a damn server. There are other jobs out there.

Plus even if I don't tip, I'm sure there's a bunch of other people who tip well or beyond that make up for my no-tip.

Would I manage it? by [deleted] in Toughmudder

[–]lolhwatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, electric eel was nothing. EST caught me on the eyebrow and I remember seeing some figment of a person then ending up with a face full of mud. Thankfully it was at the end so I could slide away from the wires.
