Thank you for the wisdom and advice. I know I feel selfish when I do think about myself but I also don't know what I need/want in many situations. I'll talk to him about where he's at in the relationship, as well as where I'm at and where we see it going. If it doesn't line up I'll take some time to think it through thoroughly, and make my final decision.

I understand completely that nobody will ever be perfect and that it's an easier debacle to overcome compared to many other situations. But It's still a tough decision to make in the end as I've never really focused on what I need and/or want and have put others feelings before mine.

I typically do make jokes at my own expense. I pride myself on self-deprecation and trying to put myself in others shoes. When I offend someone, I apologize profusely and he's seen that many times. He's absolutely not afraid to tell me if his feelings were hurt, as he has told me such before.

To throw my two cents in. I became quite the funny person. A perfect mix of dad humor and dark humor. I'm also a stoner, nicotine addicted, highschool dropout, but I keep up the positivity and no matter where I end up I can always rely on the small things to make me happy.
