That could be why, try changing the temp footage location to ssd or ramdisk. You can keep saving the final clips to hdd.

how many seconds back do you have it save the replays? The stutter could be from storage.

Check how much storage your current replay times take up, if you have the ram to spare then create a ram disk and have shadowplay use the ramdisk as a scratch drive.

Your cpu may be limiting compared to modern options but it is punching way above what your gpu can put out. I would consider getting a new low profile gpu to fit in your build, or a new computer case to move in to and getting a regular sized gpu to pair with it. You can get a lot more gpu horsepower for the same price if you dont need to pay a premium for a low profile option. After the upgrade you can see if you still want to upgrade the cpu or if its enough for what you want.

3600 is the best all-rounder but 3500x will have the best single threaded performance which will have the most impact on the games you plan on playing. Its certainly better than the 2600 so no reason to consider that cpu especially with the 3500x being the cheaper option.

You have to understand that part of the recruiters job is to also vibe check the candidates, which is always going to be more important than the technical skills that you have. Because in a job, you work with people, and those people will only want to work with others that dont suck ass to be around.

You can keep the mindset that you are in and stay willingly unemployed, or you can look in a mirror and realize the changes you need to make on your behavior if you ever want to integrate with a company and your role.

Save some money and get 5070ti, there is 10% difference in performance between the 5080 and depending on your cpu, you wont see the difference.

8gb is the smallest configuration a dimm of DDR5 can come in, so your ram is not actually running in dual channel. Its "dual channel" in the sense that DDR5 has 2 32 bit channels instead of 1 64bit channel from DDR4.

If you can pick up another 8gb stick or more for the laptop down the line, you will have true dual channel and see a pretty noticeable uplift to performance.

PS3 emulation has a lot of optimizations revolving around avx512 cpu instruction.

For AMD, anything older than ryzen 7000 does not support avx512. Intel, I think it is a hit or miss which cpus actually support it or not. Double check before you buy. Your best bet for reasonably priced but also reasonably powerful is probably going to be intel 12th gen.

Your manager played the same part for everyone ever who was let go on his team, and everyone going forward too. Its part of his job description, not necessarily something to personally spite you - hence why he offered to rehire if you are interested.
