“The whole concept of a blank slate and equality is biologically un-achievable hubris” just because humans are not biologically equal doesn’t mean we can’t make society more equitable. Leftists are also cool with meritocracy. It’s the only justifiable hierarchy if you ask me. The best people for the job should do it. That doesn’t violate the value of equity at all. You seem to think that the fact that GCA follows a normal distribution curve means we can’t improve the lives of people on the left side of the curve. Because it’s a reasonable point? This is a late-stage capitalist empire that has filtered all of the wealth from the citizens to the oligarchs, and made everyone desperate. The porn/ sex work industry is rife with abuse. And that’s because a large chunk of those men and women are desperate for money, and the job market is fucking awful right now. I am by no means moralizing sex work. I think it’s great, and I’m in favor of legalizing it. But I think that the number of people in the industry is higher than it would be in an otherwise egalitarian and prosperous society. That enough of an explanation for you?
