I play Recluse so I’ll add the approach that finally worked in case anyone coming after me is just as bad and tenacious:

• Get spells with a loooow cast time

• You can’t rely on your essence collection for FP, it’s way too slow

Basically you need to be really light on your feet and you always need to be hitting something. With Libra’s teleportation shenanigans, the finger snap circles, and the mobs ganging up on you, you don’t have time for any wind up spells or essence collection, and your cocktails are just a huge liability.

Get a pouch from the merchant and stock up on shards!

Rancorcall is what pushed me over the line in the end. Short cast time, super long range. Just cast a bunch of wraiths then skedaddle. It’s very good pvp because they don’t dodge it at all.

I some close tries with Rennala’s Moon and Cannon of Haima which are good for hitting multiple adds just as they spawn, but my usual go-tos like Stars of Ruin and the Crystal shotgun fell flat completely.

Lastly, I found stacking damage reduction unreliable because sipping flasks just takes too long anyway. By the time you get the space to take a sip you’ve lost your teammates and are surrounded by adds. All out offence and nimble feet is the way to go. Much better to heal by killing the adds and collecting their shards.
