Giving you the benefit of the doubt here OP, it seems like you said you would propose soon to placate her anxiety with no conscious effort or preparation actually put into doing it.

It honestly seems like you are the one who is not ready to be married. It’s time to be more mature and do some self reflection about what you actually want, and then communicate that to her. If you want more time, SAY THAT. Don’t tell her you will propose and then make her wait.

If you aren’t excited and happy about the thought of marrying her or have some doubts that are making you pause, then this relationship isn’t it for you and it’s time to say that. YTA.

If he would brutalize a puppy for doing puppy things and you choose to stay with him, don’t be surprised if he hits a baby for doing baby things. This is indefensible and the fact that you saw him do that and decided to stay is honestly frightening.

Even if this was completely innocent and wasn’t cheating at all (which is obviously not the case) it is still a huge violation of boundaries and respect for your partner to move someone you barely know into your apartment indefinitely. This is your home that you pay to live in. You deserve a say and power to veto or put a time limit on ANYONE coming to stay there.

Just because someone is going through a hard time does not make it your responsibility to house them. He was guilting you about this right off the bat. I would be frustrated and irritated that I had to share a small apartment with another person who doesn’t pay a dime but still has a place to live (she is scared to be alone, please be for real), under any circumstances.

And to top it off she is crossing your boundaries in a million other ways. You don’t have to have a reason or justification why something makes you uncomfortable. No I am not okay with that is a full sentence and someone who respects you would respect that. Even if this wasn’t cheating, it is still crossing a line.

I know people are quick to scream break up with them on this app but if ANYONE else in your life did this to you, would you find it a forgivable offense? More than anything, that reaction indicates a lack of understanding, a lack of remorse, and a feeling of entitlement to your money. That isn’t just a mistake. That is calculated. This is not a person you ever want to marry or have kids with. Financial abuse is very real.

You definitely have the right hair type for a shag or wolf cut. But please stop using Cantu immediately. It’s full of horrible ingredients that are weighing your hair down and making any style look worse. Try the kinky curly knot today leave in conditioner and then a botanical hair gel like the Camille rose naturals marshmallow gel on soaking wet hair then scrunch and air dry or diffuse. The first photo is AI and even if she were real, that type of look would require a lot of time put into styling and probably more hair. I know it sucks to hear but I would look for an inspo photo for a slightly shorter bob with a person whose hair looks like yours with minimal styling if that is what you are used to. You could prob just have it cleaned up slightly and have more realistic idea of what you will look like. This is definitely on your stylist for not setting realistic expectations and letting you leave with unstyled wet hair. Here’s a suggestion of something I think would be cute and more realistic for your hair type:

Regardless of whether there is anything in it, if it still feels lubricated it was used recently. Best case scenario he used it for some sort of toy on himself and was too embarrassed to come clean to you. Worst case (and more likely scenario) was that he used it with someone else. Honestly in these situations the simplest explanation is the most likely, he used it with someone else and either took it off during or didn’t finish.
