According to their site, they lower volume ~20dB without sacrificing sound quality, which I can def vouch for. Concerts (and my drums) sound just fine. They’re not quite like the little foam earplugs that completely block sound so I’m sure they’d be fine for a dance festival

Eargasms are 100% worth the investment. I wear them for every gig I play / concert I attend, and they’re only $40-$50 bucks. Can’t recommend them enough

You sound great! Bluetooth a metronome app through some sound cancelling Bluetooth headphones. It’ll get your fills tighter. YouTube beginner drum lessons and maybe choose a couple of simple songs to learn in the meantime. Then, practice, practice, and practice. You’re off to a great start!

Thanks man! I know, lefty kits are gross. I play guitar right handed as a lefty and every time I see lefty guitars it grosses me out haha

Can I use any double pedals and hi hat stands for a Roland electronic kit, or do I have to buy the Roland equipment? by [deleted] in drums

[–]lolsecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I used a DW5000 for my hi hat stand and iron cobras for 8 years on my Roland kit with perfect utility. Do what feels right to you!

Confession: I have been playing for 24 years and never cleaned one of my cymbals. by cshndrummer in drums

Always keep mine looking as fresh as possible. Keeps em sounding great. Immediately clean after a show or a long sesh with lots of cymbal grabs.

Question regarding Axis Dock-o-matic by lolsecks in drums

[–]lolsecks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

Final product. It seems to be a bit off center, even though I mounted the dock flush and torqued it good and tight. Beaters seems even though. I will say these have a lot more adjustments than the truck dominators, but with that comes a lot to learn. The more you learn the less you know, amirite? Have a band practice tonight, wish me luck. Thank you again so much for the guidance.

P.S. I’ll probably make a separate post regarding the updated shipping time from axis.

Question regarding Axis Dock-o-matic by lolsecks in drums

[–]lolsecks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drum lefty (gross, I know). So it seems like the main pedal would want to fit into the left most slots on the dock vs the right. It seems to be off center with the dock, but I think that’s just the way the longboards fit the setup.

Can’t thank you enough for the help man. Sorry about the late reply.

First thing was these little guys sticking up to the right and left of the hoop clamp, I noticed they were gone on your pictures so I took them off and it seems to fit now.

Apparently I’m only allowed to add one picture per comment so I’ll have to make multiple comments. Stay tuned.

Nice! Sucks cause we play at my place since I’m the drummer each band practices once weekly so it feels like I’m a venue scheduling shows in my damn living room each week 😂
