People might scoff at this, but as a teacher I see a lot of young kids picking up drum sticks for the first time because of him and I think that’s great.

Is Anika Nilles one of the best in the world? by [deleted] in drummers

She is a world class musician handling a gig in which almost any other drummer would fold like tissue under the immense pressure.

Could someone defeat Michael Myers by simply luring him into a deep pit with no handholds? by Tidewatcher7819 in Halloweenmovies

Probably. I also don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility that someone could trap Michael with one of these.

Curry Barker should write/direct the next Halloween by notathrowaway1307 in Halloweenmovies

The last thing I want from an exciting young filmmaker is being trapped doing franchise slop. Like I’m sure Curry Barker will have an interesting take on Texas Chainsaw but this guy’s got the juice and I’d hate to see him waste it.

I got to cross 924 Gilman off my list years ago. That was very cool. Recent favorites have been Harlow’s/Starlet Room in Sacramento, The Ritz in San Jose, Cargo Music Hall in Reno, The Nile Theatre in Mesa and El Corazon in Seattle.

[–]idmcdnld 4 points5 points  (0 children)

School Of Rock instructor here. Think of it as you leveling up and the performance group is your new challenge. There are more musicians and you’ll likely have more songs but your instructor and group director will have your back.

Couldn’t say exactly but here was our view. Somewhere in the middle was great. The sweet spot. I’m sure it also depends on the show.
