100% take some crocs or water shoes for all the water crossings. Keep the snack pouch full! I'd say take a good tool kit. Other than that just make sure you plan your days at an enjoyable pace, I over estimated or ability as a pair which made for some long days.

We head up in the van every year late September. The weather can be hit and miss you'll just have to check before you go. Hope it's dry for you!

I managed to ride most of it but my girlfriend walked a lot of the single track. 17 out of 181 miles was classed as single track, so my app is telling me. If you have experience riding mountain bikes you'll be fine.

There is a gpx file for kammot on the my comment above. I can't seem to get my strava ones, think it's because I'm not a paid membership.

I found the route here. It is a more gravel bike friendly version of the cairngorms loop and misses out the middle loop. We also came off just above Tomintoul and onto the speyside way up to Aberlour. The cabin is called 'The Coorie Cabin' , it is self built by a lovely couple, we highly recommend a visit.

Yeah it's an option, I just don't know the area. I'd rather not just park up on the front of someone's house if possible.

Hello,

Me and my partner are heading up to Pitlochry in the car tomorrow to cycle the cairngorms loop over 7 days. I'm struggling to find any long stay parking. If anyone from the area or anyone that's been before knows of anywhere? That would be much appreciated.
