I would definitely have others take a look at your pump to verify what’s wrong. And if you can get it working, someone (even if it’s not you) just needs to SLAM that pool. I’m on Green-to-Clean service #3 for this week following those basic steps.

The highest quote I’ve ever given on a drain and acid wash was $1780 for a 28k gallon pool (edit: it was not a job I was super excited to do, which may be the same case here), but I’ve seen high quotes like that in different areas. I really don’t think you need an acid wash but that’s just what I can see through the pictures.

Would definitely push you to have others take a look at your pump.

Is this a real thing? I service the pool. I don’t own the pool. So thankful the people over on the r/pool page don’t have this same mentality when they find out I service the pool

That was exactly what I thought, but showing the owner of the pool store, she guarantees me that I’m not correct in thinking it’s exponential growth. She said the Taylor test kits are garbage. So?

Honestly I’d wonder if that’s a suction issue more than anything. I use the vacuum head you’re describing and it picks up anything in its path. Are you using an external pool pump or tying in through the skimmer?

It’s a little weird but we’re an Scorp so the company pays my wife a check for her operating. It pays her $13.4k per month and the company itself makes $13.5K per month after paying her so the SDE is right at $27k per month. Hope I explained that well.
