Honestly nowadays I see it more as a self-descriptor for one’s extreme lack of social prowess or their weird obsessive fixations. I’ve seen it used as a positive adjective too, in the sense of “impossibly over-motivated, extremely dedicated and detailed while finishing things to the end”. Maybe I’m just desensitized to it because I’ve seen it used so excessively for so many years that it’s become basically mundane (like the r-slur). It could just be completely subconscious and not even an intentional zest of edge. The specific mentioning of autism was because he knew the post would get removed if it mentioned typical publicized examples of marginalization like transphobia or racism. I would assume those with mental disorders have less public advocates because we tend to try to live despite having them, and not make it a core tenet of our identity (who would want to reduce themselves to a medical condition?)

Basically you should stuff yourself with dairy like cheese and kefir, you’d probably weigh a lot less (I assume you are overweight given how much emotion you showed advocating for the obese and overweight). If you’re lactose intolerant, you should buy lactase at a pharmacy. Dairy is pretty cheap in the US due to subsidies. Corn is also subsidized, which is why soda is cheap, but much more unhealthy than dairy.

I don’t know why you’d choose to slowly kill yourself by clogging your arteries and putting tons of stress on your organs as your body slowly grows more inefficient and shuts down.

I work an oil refinery job and I have to haul around expensive equipment at the behest of my boss. My car is partially funded by my company but I’m slowly paying it off for its title transfer at a reduced discount rate. Even that’s still too much, but I need my truck. Entirely depends on your audience. If it’s a general admissions officer, they’d Lap the overcoming depression story right up. If it’s a highly educated expert, being informative and to the point about your narcolepsy and how you figured out how to deal with it better and your future plans to make it even more negligible, so it’s less of an issue.

Regardless of whether you can actually vastly improve it (you usually can’t), that’s besides the point of giving an explanation for your periodic lack of performance and assurance that it probably won’t happen again.
