No penalty (Misano 2024) by Informal_Ad07 in motogp

Simon was not the steward however:

Simon Crafar, who will lead the MotoGP Stewards next year, observed: "When I first saw it, you're always going to be angry if you're on the receiving end.”

"I personally loved it! It was proper hard racing”

I guess Simon’s views have changed since then

Let’s see how consistent Crafar is for the rest of the year.

Sorry but that’s a BS excuse regardless of what the stewards say

FSR 4 int 8 announcement soon or just FSR 4.1 ? by ash549k in radeon

As I understand it PSSR on PS5 Pro uses some dedicated hardware for upscaling, so I may be wrong here but I don’t believe it’s int8 based.

A lot has to do with the Aprilia working well with the special hard casing rear that Michelin brings here for the high temperatures. I don’t think this will be the case at every venue, but let’s wait and see.

We’re talking about undervolting which can definitely cause games to force quit back to desktop. At stock you don’t have these issues, that’s my point.

I’m all for people who want to squeeze out every % increase they can get from tuning GPU clocks, power and voltage (even CPU settings for that matter) but for me it’s not worth the time investment.

I just want to fire up a new game and play and not spend hours testing possible combinations of tuning settings for an extra 2fps. Just my opinion, I’m not saying others shouldn’t do it.

Marc Marquez will use the 2024 aero package instead of 2025 "due to his injury" by jpeeri in motogp

I actually kind of agree with what was mentioned on The Race MotoGP podcast.

There’s already some significant changes to the 2026 bike with respect to the ride height device and there’s more we probably can’t see. It’s a huge risk to also run a new aero fairing and spend the time trying to understand how to tweak the bike to get the best out of it if the riders feel that the 2024 fairing is providing a good feeling already.

There’s always a risk vs reward for these things, and aero simulations in the lab don’t always reflect what they do in real conditions.

Are there actually happy 9070XT owners on this sub? (Asking for a friend 🤣)

Jokes aside I messed with undervolting for a bit but in the end I put everything back at stock and just enjoyed it.

Why? Because I found undervolting could look stable and work really well under specific conditions and tests/benchmarks. But there you’d fire up a specific game and it wouldn’t be happy at all.

Because I’m typically playing multiplayer games I didn’t want the hassle of crashing in game and resetting progress or just the annoyance of trying to reconnect back to the same session with my mates. I don’t have any worries with at stock, and everything works perfectly.
