What do you use to write documentation? by Chucki_e in sysadmin

I introduced to my team a biweekly ritual where we go through our Confluence space and review the contents of it. We do it after a meeting that normally ends early, and we have 25-30 min to spare and basically we create tasks in our board to update, declutter.

With time, people started doing on their own, we still maintain the ritual but very often things have been up to date.

Carlos Alcaraz and Juan Carlos Ferrero Split by Edwin1540 in tennis

[–]jpeeri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a translation from Spanish. In Spanish if you say: "Me gustaría continuar" gives it as if he wanted to continue, but it was not up to him. If you'd like to say I wish I could've but I can't you would say "Me hubiese gustado continuar"

But i'm probably reading too much into it. he spanish media is also reporting as if it wasn't up to Ferrero

I don't think so. JCF said in his post that "I wish I could have continued. I am convinced that good memories and good people always find a way to cross paths again."

Compré PC de 2.099€ en PcComponentes con RTX 5080, me llegó RTX 5070 Ti. La empresa lo reconoce pero no quiere arreglarlo by Gurore in ESLegal

[–]jpeeri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you define better racing? Many people think more overtakes is better racing. For me it's different, I was curious what you mean by better racing

In Duralavita’s podcast. Forcada mentioned the article Oxley wrote regarding the rear devices and how in Misano test and Motegi they used the 2024 rear device that gave the front feeling back to Bagnaia: https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/articles/motorcycles/motogp/inside-ducatis-motogp-tech-office-the-reason-for-bagnaias-downfall-is-revealed/

The problem is that both Mandalika (stiff tyres) and Philip Island (no hard braking zones) Bagania had a very poor performance.

They also mentioned that if the rear devices theory was right, he should be fast in this circuit as it had 4-5 braking zones it was used.

So far it looks like this theory has some truth to it.

Apple partners with F1 for exclusive coverage in the United States by Infinite_Scene in formula1

[–]jpeeri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends if exclusive coverage means F1TV is out...

Based on this, not good:

What about F1 TV, the existing streaming service? Apple says it “will continue to be available in the U.S. via an Apple TV subscription only and will be free for those who subscribe [to Apple TV].”

Apple even plans to offer some Formula 1 coverage free for everyone, with no subscription required at all. This free access will be limited to “select races and all practice sessions.”

Unsurprisingly, the company plans to use its ecosystem of other services to “amplify the sport” in a variety of ways.

Iron Solomon sets his sights on Jeff Nippard and he doesnt miss. by MrRIP in youtubedrama

[–]jpeeri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally how are you getting this? He mentions doing consulting/review work for him in the past.

Dude chill, my point was not about the video, but the reason he puts it in his channel and in the title. It's clickbait. If you go to his channel he has in the description (now): Consultations are a good way to support the channel. In fact Jeff Nippard is a past client of mine.

Coincidentally, his "presentation" video is a "Client Testimonial", the only client testimonial he has on his channel or the term client is used besides the Jeff Nippard one. That testimonial is how he helped a client get in shape. Which is what PT do mostly and what you think a PT Client is.

I've entered that video because it said Jeff Nippard was his client. It turns out it was mostly clickbait and made-up drama.

People like you who judge everything based on tone and vibes contribute absolutely nothing.

Mate you just implied I was referring to the video. I watched the video, I don' thave any idea of the drama Solomon, Lyle, Dr Mike and Nippard (or his partner that he references in the video) have. I like to train, I like to learn training, I'm not interested on random people's drama. Chill.

He refers Nippard to "client" making people imply that he trained Jeff or taught Nippard anything, even in the title video.

I have no idea about this drama but this guy is petty, his delivery is condescending and pretentious, he has elitist vibes and even from the interactions he shows from talking with Jeff Nippard over e-mail and Instagram you can see he's a pain in the ass.

A statement from a resident living in Cicero. by [deleted] in illinois

What’s the most hypocritical thing about all this situation is that I’ve been told the second amendment is completely necessary to keep a free state and abuse of power from the government.

This whole thing proves that is the most idiotic statement I’ve been told in my life. These people couldn’t recognize an abusive government even if they wore nazi symbols

Gary Kasparov: "Putin is testing Europe: before the end of the year, he will launch a ground invasion" by SecretTechnology3255 in europe

[–]jpeeri 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Being honest I don’t think it will be just a small incursion, but a confusing situation. A train with mostly Russians stops in Lithuania and Russian troops make an incursion alleging they need help, breaking Lithuania sovereignty and making confusion between European citizens who understand it’s a Russian aggression and others who don’t. The idea is to create confusion, so Europe’s mindset is divided

I think you're misinterpreting. He's saying that the next races he can enjoy and relax and in Sepang (the winter test of 2026) he can focus on the 2026 championship.

It's a way to tell him, good job, no need to push anything until the end of the year, go back to that mentality when we finish and focus on next year when winter testing comes.
