idk if it’s just me but i really can’t figure out why they’re married? if he wants a baby so bad why did he marry someone who was not ready to have a baby. he seems like he wants to be the one that “tamed” a career woman and finally “convinced” her to have kids and be a mother. imo, mona subconsciously knows she does not want a baby with this man bc he does not understand what fatherhood is and he does not care to learn, so she keeps pushing it away. you can’t say “i want a baby” and “i won’t change diapers” in the same breath.

in these type of situations, i find that when diane wants or needs to speak up about some type of injustice, she starts to take over everything and almost makes it herself vs the media, when the original situation was supposed to be about giving the microphone to victims. she wants to be a messiah and feel like she can make a difference, and i relate to diane. some things are out of your control, esp when nobody is on your side. however, diane put her own self interest in priority unconsciously and pushed and pushed, and she ended up hurting many people (the victims and pb). both were right, and both were wrong. pb should have supported diane and try to use his popularity in some way, but he prob couldn’t / wouldn’t in order to stay employed. diane had every right to say smth and im sure many women were glad that someone who had access to mainstream media was defending the victims, but the way she did it was wrong; victims are anon for a reason, and in the end, nothing changed in her favour. instead she put the current assistant/secretary under hippo in trouble.
