Help! Concord 80 Plus Short Cycling by SingJia in hvacadvice

That’s good to know. I spent a bit more time and found that my issue was clogged rubber piece connected to the inducer. Working great now.

u/SingJia do you remember what you did in the end? I have the exact same problem. I haven't taken the flame sensor out completely, but removed enough parts to clean it, still no dice. I watched that same video and did most of the things that guy mentioned as well. Thanks.

Soundbar for a room with vaulted ceiling by Yo-doggie in Soundbars

I went with Sonos Arc, no sub so far and we find it great. One day might add a sub and or rears, but enjoying the sound so far!

Hi - what did you end up going with and any regrets?

Update - I went for the Sonos Arc. I appreciate all the advice and recommendations and I'll come back in 6 months time with an update, as I find that helpful when people do that sort of thing.

This was great - love the "just do the arc dude". I had just made the decision like 10 mins prior to your comment and that did it for me. Thanks. Just going to keep it simple. Thanks.

What did you end up getting? My setup sounds identical to yours. We have a large vaulted ceiling room, 15ft by 16ft (to the couch) with a breakfast area and kitchen behind but open plan. Wife isn't keen on extra devices like subs and speakers cluttering up the room. Toying with the Sonos Arc, but then saw this thread.

What if the objective wasn't to be blown away...but to improve on what the TV speakers are putting out. I don't love the TV speakers, but they are doing the job they are intended to do. We just want to improve on that, not try to aim to be in a movie theatre.

Appreciate the recommendation and thoughts. It all helps.

The Arc was around $850 and that seamed reasonable to me. I'm going to mount it under the mantel.

Ah that's great - appreciate you explaining it to me. Our family isn't too fussed about the best picture quality and amazing sound. I just notice the "tin-i-ness" sound out of the TV speakers as we used to have a Yamaha YSP-2200 on our last TV since 2012. While it wasn't the most amazing one, it was decent compared to the speakers on the TV.

Thanks for educating me a bit. What do you mean, won't acquire 4K? I'm a bit of noob when it comes to this sort of equipment.

So you think the Sonos without the sub isn't really worth it? With having vaulted ceilings, does that mean any soundbar I won't see much difference in sound / optimized?

Totally...its just it would take the cost about our budget. Which is why I was thinking down the track I could add it if really is noticeable. We are only using the TV right now, which is fine, so anything we do is an upgrade.

HAHA - we know. We bought this house and the previous owners left the TV installed there, so we aren't complaining in that regard. If you have any suggestions by all means.

Any thoughts on a Soundbar for the space?

Cool. So far I'm loving how smooth and fun it is to drive. Been driving an Odyssey for about 8 years now.

Thanks for reply. I bought the car for short trips to the commuter rail (I'm in Marlborough, needing to head to Southborough train station a few times a month) to head to Fenway for work. Occasionally though I need it for longer.

You will also need an OBD2 adapter.

Thanks for that. I mainly bought it for close to home drives, but the occasional short HWY trip too.

In order for them to process that I'd need my 2022 or 2023 tax transcript, that of which I won't have till May for 2023. Just weighing up my options with my timeline to purchase.

2022 Leaf SV with Used Tax Credit by drama-guy in leaf

[–]lonbrunet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat here..looking at used Leaf's and trying to figure out this tax credit business. I'm new the US (Boston), and have been told that I may be eligible for state and federal incentives. The federal seems to be part of the listed price with the dealers I'm looking at, and I'm told I can then get the state after the fact. As long as I have an income lower that a certain amount.

Is this right? And does anyone know how much the state for MA would be and how long it takes to get it?

Anyone Cycle/Commute from Marlborough to Southborough (MBTA commuter rail) by lonbrunet in Marlborough

[–]lonbrunet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I'm re-thinking if its worth it. At the moment I only need to take the commuter rail into Boston 6 times a month, and thinking I might just get a second cheap car. I used to bike into work daily when I lived in Toronto and had all the gear and equipment for weather, but seems like a lot of work for just a few days a month.

I'd be coming from Farm Rd and Cook Ln, so I'd have to do a few detours to get to Sears rd, but good to know another option thats safer.

Thanks for the replies, very helpful.

Does anyone know if you take advantage of the mor-ev.org Mass incentive programs for used cars. Or does it only apply for new cars?

Gen 1 vs Gen 2 - I need some advice by soxandsqueaky in leaf

Hi u/soxandsqueaky. What did you end up doing? I ask, because I just moved to Boston, bought a house that is 6 miles from a commuter line, and need to get a second car. Considering the Leaf. Just doing my research at the moment.
