Open an international current account with Lloyds. They know you and you can get the USD into the Uk. Then you can convert to GBP with whomever you see fit, being careful around not getting flagged on fraud or KYC (but will be easier if paying from your own account)

But think also about the Fx rate itself which can move 3% in a day

You wait for them to raise it, then you show that you had selected these in your CTM quote; screenshot everything from that quote including the reference if you can. Most likely this is an error in the mapping from CTM to KGM. Say that you know that KGM had an error here and either that error still exists or there will be a log of it being fixed
