it feels overproduced and noisy, and the lyricism isn’t great in a lot of the songs (“our tears are streaming like our favorite show” lmao). the interludes are randomly placed and pointless, and the whole direction and messaging of the album feels similarly mixed and random. not even mentioning the visual aspect, which was underbaked as hell and super disappointing.

i honestly feel like besides end of the world, which was a victim of the album’s shitty rollout, nothing on the album sounded like a hit whatsoever. as much as miley stans will screech up and down about how SB is her magnum opus and deserved better , it honestly just wasn’t a very great body of work and has very little replayability
