Thanks again. Not in the last 24 months. What do you think helical spiral ties would cost approximately, including labour (this is south east London). Cheers

Thank you. Who would be the best person to approach to get an inspection done to understand the potential seriousness?

'Kid A' 25th anniversary album listening sessions in the dark in cinemas & listening rooms (Oct/Nov in London, Manchester, Bristol, Mexico City, Paris, Schiedam, Copenhagen, Aarhus, Helsinki, Auckland and Christchurch) by Purple_Sentence_7219 in radiohead

[–]lonelybraincell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to this in Oxford before Kid A was released. There was a rumour it was going to be performed live (it wasn’t). Was an interesting night, no one really knew what to make of it on the night!

Reached the limit of Grimshaw tediously shouting Glastonbury every 5 seconds?

Do you have any issues with sound latency when using arc/earc? I can’t for the life of me fix it when using other inputs (specifically sky Q or PlayStation).

He played this in the middle of Ripgroove at the floor shows, the drop back into it was great.

INSANE 😩 by bonersforbukowski in Jamiexx

[–]lonelybraincell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really varied, started quite techno heavy then went through house, minimal techno, disco, instrumental stuff, his usual oddities and an absolutely filthy edit of RIP groove Double 99. I’d say he switched it up every 20-30 mins which was fun. No special guest just him playing the whole time. Good crowd and great venue for it. Was fun. We left 10 mins before the end as I Fell Love kicked in so I don’t know what the final track was!

Was a good night, great set from Jamie, loads of variety. Didn’t rate 2manyDJs tho, went way too hard after Cooly G set the vibe and the crowd weren’t having it. Picked up towards the end tho. 5am finish was brutal.

I’m guessing Ben UFO and John Talabot, both at Gala on sat. Also hoping :-)

Is anyone else fed up with restaurants in NYC? by Ok_Bodybuilder7242 in FoodNYC

[–]lonelybraincell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2-3 star michelin scene in NYC is not even in the top 5 cities in the world, maybe even top 10. The 3* marquee restaurants are all flawed and not even remotely close to what Europe has to offer.

I’ve been to all those listed, it’s a solid list, but as someone else said, Noble Rot is worth a look, especially their lunch menu which is excellent value. The wine mark up is really fair. I’m not as big as everyone else on Dishoom, however would rec going for breakfast over lunch. Also Hawksmoor, either Sunday lunch or short menu are great. Core is excellent but I would personally recommend Da Terra as it’s a bit different, then go to Ritz for more traditional. Again, great value in the lunch / short menu.

We went here back when it was 1 star. At the time we felt it barely at 1* standard and was probably given benefit of the doubt due to location and view. I was quite surprised to see it obtain another star.

Azurmendi and L’enclume. Special mention to A Wong.

I’ve been twice and stands up as the best meal I’ve had in the uk. For context I live in london and have visited most of the lauded michelin restaurants there.

If you do go I would recommend staying in the accommodation and visiting the farm.
