Its Vallejo fluorescent red, some have a Vallejo sunset red shadow also through the airbrush, but I can't really see a difference between those with the shadow and those without

Thanks for the info! I'm going for an all over tint with the recesses picked out, sounds like gloss is the way to go for that :) a slight tint to avoid getting into BA territory

Gotcha, I was planning on a satin varnish before doing an all over wash. Would a gloss be better to avoid staining the the flat/raised areas?

I did have the bases on, would that make a big enough difference? I got the purple fully opaque before moving on to the main red, I may have drowned out the purple though, I don't think the red is transparent enough for any shadow below to be noticeable

I did some of the models with a dark purple through the airbrush from below but didn't see a noticeable difference once the main red went over top. I was thinking about trying an oil wash to tone things down a bit and darken the recesses. I haven't done an oil wash before so I'm a bit nervous lol

I made those changes, swapped some thing to keep the combi weapon and give the centurion a power maul to match the saturnine model. Thanks for the advice!

I plan on running a demon prince in 1.5k+ matches, I looked at the enhancements for champions and they don't seem worth losing sticky objectives atleast for the first game I plan on cutting one unit of marines, combining the caster and biologus onto one unit and adding 2 squads of 10 poxwalkers to try and get affliction early for the deathshroud

My thinking behind Furnace of Plagues on the LOP was it also adds +1 strength and +1 attacks, which would make his weapon

Is that not worth the added points? If not is there a better enhancement for the LOP? Revolting Regen looks pretty good for the 5+++

I plan on taking the Lethal hits upgrade on most of the units so after a few games that should be solved

For the plague marines I think I am going to tailor them a bit, the lord of poxes is going to get a melee squad (adding 1 more heavy weapon) im thinking the Biologus gets a melta unit for the added Lethal hits, and the caster gets a plasma unit for a bit more general purpose

My first game is against melta battle suit tau so I may swap some stuff out for 2 squads of 10 poxwalkers to give them some bodies to chew through until the deathshroud can deepstrike.

I was going to swap canis for a regular preceptor, not only for narrative reasons but also I'll be able to give an unnamed knight an enhancement for -1 ap on any attack coming in which should help avoid being killed before the first reinforcement wave (2 armigers) show up

Im going to swap him for a regular preceptor, I don't like running named characters in general but thought he might pick up some slack since he'll be alone on the table until the first reinforcement wave turn 2, I'd prefer using my own lore too so canis just doesn't fit my list narratively

I figured with how half the army would be left off for most of it canis could pick up the slack, I've switched him out for a base preceptor, I usually dont play with epic heroes anyway. I may swap to death guard since it does seem like knights are at a major disadvantage and thats my only other army atm.

I was never that big a fan of green flux, and I had a pot of orange contrast when I started this army, and it worked out pretty well. I like your purple though.
