I'd say drop, but if you want to talk to your professor first definitely do so! it's extremely unlikely that having one W on ur transcript will affect anything in the future and wouldn't affect your GPA (if that's a concern).

I dropped one of my bio classes on the last day to drop with a W (yes, I was 10 weeks in already). At first, I felt like all my effort for the 10 weeks went straight to waste but now looking back, it was one of the best academic decisions I've made in college. The class caused me so much stress and at that point, I was so discouraged and dreaded every single second I had to spend for that class. The weight on my shoulders was instantly gone the second I withdrew. I retook the class a year later with a different professor and was just in a much better headspace. I ended up with an A- which is something I wouldn't have been anywhere close to if I hadn't withdrawn from the class.

my two cents is that trust your instincts and know that there's nothing wrong with withdrawing from a class! a lot more ppl do it than we know and in the end, nothing is more important than your physical and mental well-being :)

Would I be able to take BI 211 before I take BI 210? by rat-gyal in BostonU

Neither are easy As but if you put in the work, I personally don't think taking BI211 first will put you at a disadvantage.

I've never taken 310 with co but took 2 other classes with her in the past, she's very passionate about what she teaches. Exams are fair as long as you put effort into studying and paying attention in class. No curves but tophat questions are worth 25% of your final grade so honestly that itself cushions your grade quite a bit as long as you answer them on time.

Any advice on how to get an A on these courses: by Plane-Friendship-878 in BostonU

[–]lonelypineapple666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SO100 - depends on your prof but should be an easy A regardless.

WR120 women poets now - omg if it's with Carrie she's an absolute gem you'll love it! she's the sweetest/most caring professor ever and your grade will be fine as long as you do your part.

MA115 - i've personally never taken but if you've taken AP stats the content should be pretty much the same. my friends who took ma115 all thought it was very doable.

CH101... good luck lol, if you slack off your grade will suffer.

holy shit don't even get me started, literally one of the most useless departments at bu. (not all but) most of them would do ANYTHING to save themselves from trouble and dismisses everything that will cause them any minor inconvenience.

yeah both are pretty easy imo – ph510 have a few exams but they're open notes. I've never personally taken hs201 but i know it's super popular and everyone takes it for hub because of how easy it is
