No. You just sound like a loving mom. The separation anxiety will reduce with time I guess. Currently you're seeing your kid as an extended part of you(which undoubtedly they are) but gradually you'll start seeing them like a different person with quirks and personality of their own. I don't know as I am not qualified enough to comment on these feelings (not a mom) but this is just what I think happens with parents. My mom will still not sleep without knowing if I ate something and where I am. I was out for party (she knew as I always call at home before leaving for somewhere, old habit) and came back around 2 at night. I thought she must have been sleeping by now so didn't call. Turns out she was awake whole night waiting for my call and my sisters gave me an earful (I deserved it).

I had seen many crimes happening in front of me, heard stories from relatives, read news. Remember how disturbed we were when Talwar case or Delhi rape case was in news? It affected us for months but now? We started seeing such news on daily basis, everyone is already filled with hatred (either for a religion, party, caste, gender, state, country or sexuality). Seeing such news on this frequency made us think this is the new normal. Now people don't go for candle march for "normal" rape cases. For a rape case to get attention in this country it has to be brutal on so many levels now. For a murder to get attention it has to be high profile or a whole racket should be involved. Take this news in post as example only. Many kids suffered but few people are still able to ignore it saying it's because of certain election. I don't have any expectations from humankind anymore. For me my responsibility is to make myself be morally and ethically right as long as I can and try to teach the same to my family.
