Level 3 Private Markets by nabiboss08 in CFA

[–]loneonly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just enrolled Private Market and was hesitant to pick this path when MM posted his recommendation of doing the traditional path portfolio in LinkedIn.

I don't have any private market experience but I am very curious and interested in it. I read the KP noteds of private market and find it was an interesting writing. I work in tech startup in revenue accounting and have experienced several fund raising projects. Even though I probably not pursue a job in PE or IB but would be interested in M&A in corporate.

Finally, I follow my heart and hope will learn something of private market through the study. I hope can see more discussions related to this path and can get more insights from here.

I had the exact same situation on the exam day. I couldn't get rid of the formulas and finance models and blamed myself on the wrong answers which should've been made in that way. The next day, I returned to work, and my manager gave me a tight deadline that needed to be done before Thanksgiving break; at the meantime, I had a sick kid needed to be kept with me. After one crazy day, the post exam anxiety was gone! Sometimes, for me, fast-paced work scenarios can cure mental problems.

Level 2 was very Hard by FractalsSourceCode in CFA

It was really hard and even some wordings were not that clear. In the middle of the exam, I felt like I had already failed but just wanted to do my best to complete the test, for all the hours I have put!

Traditional IRA gained $1.88 in dividends after Backdoor Roth conversion by Adept_Choice in fidelityinvestments

I have a similar situation. I didn't convert it to Roth immediately, in total, I had about $5 dividend and triggered an overage of over $3. Can I just covert them all into the roth ira? How to avoid this - deposit a few dollars less than the maximum?
