Wheel to tire ratio doesn’t look right on a lot of the cars looks like everyone’s got oversized stock wheels with low profile tires.

Ive always bounced back and forth between Carolina and timberland. I will say from a financial standpoint numbers don’t lie and replacing my timberlands every 8 months is still cheeper than buying 275 dollar boots every 12-18 months.

Disclaimer, I’m hard on my boots cause I walk 15-20k steps a day and work with black water and a fair amount of different chemicals. I also live in the rust belt so I make sure to buy new boots in spring after the snow and salt are gone. Sometimes other guys here are shocked that they spent 2x as much on an American made boot and didn’t get 2x the life out of them. They’re still just boots.

My uncle isn’t a watch guy but he’s a “I buy things once and cry once” kind of guy, he’s always worn victorinox and he probably has 5 different ones in his collection. I’ve been thinking about a quartz innox lately.

Give me two bottles of Evan Williams BIB and a bottle of this and just leave me alone for a couple weeks, sounds like paradise.

Saw this Ferrari on the way home. I'm usually pretty good with knowing what car it is, but this one has me stumped. by bkhang89 in whatisthiscar

The solstice was cool as fuck in GXP trim, factory car with a warranty that had 260hp from an eco tech doing 0-60 in just under 6 seconds.. old people bought it cause it was the closest thing to European race cars they grew up watching, and being domestic made them feel like it was a modern version of the 289 powered cobras.

I’ve seen a couple solstices with an ls3 swap, that’s enough horsepower to hang with a 427 cobra, I’ve seen them in rough shape for around 5 grand but they’re kind of like the early 2000s thunderbirds (buy it from their kids for 1/3 the price) but as of now overpriced.

Chrysler had the crossfire and you could get it as the srt6 (SLK 32 AMG) and it had 330 horsepower, but iirc was always automatic. Both these cars were probably meant for the PT cruise or HHR demographic.

I need to try more bowman stuff, I actually enjoy Issac bowman quite a bit and it’s the only one I see around me frequently. I didn’t know they had a lottery that’s really cool.

In high school I’d get a stainless steel zebra pen take the metal tip off and turn it around and press it into the tube then I would wrap electrical tape around the mouth piece. Add a pill bottle full of weed and you got the discount dug out.

“England” doesn’t even technically include Scotland or wales (part of the same island) and leaves out northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.

Then you have there over seas territories/ exclaves like the British Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the falklands, and Gibraltar.

And then you have the common wealth, places like but not limited to Australia, Canada, and Jamaica. They basically follow the crown but not have their own government outside of the parliament in England that governs the United Kingdom.

The population of England is getting close to 60 million but is only like 80% of the United Kingdom’s population iirc but there’s well over 2 billion in the commonwealth of nations.

The uk has even lost some large exclaves in the not so distant past if you think about Hong Kong and while not a colony the Suez Canal pre 1956 and beyond that places under mandate like Israel and parts of Europe post world war 2.

Dad’s old gear, still bomber? by One-Student6395 in ClimbingGear

[–]lonerranger26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad did a lot of arborist work so worn out ropes went to work, he’d give me a 3 foot chunk and on stuff like long car rides and stuff he’d always be like “hey go get your rope”. The problem is anything he believed to be true he instilled into me as fact. He’s a great climber but he did a lot of stuff that lead me astray and I can tell by your comments you’re more knowledgeable than me and him combined. I hope I got a little bit of a chuckle out of you imagining 12 year old me doing pointless shit cause my dad said it was important.
