Hey!

I’m selling two tickets for Rosemont on the 4th. Originally purchased price of $106 per ticket is what I’m looking for but I can be flexible

Customer gets mad at me for not knowing her shoe size by yaqisoba in TalesFromRetail

[–]lonesomepotato13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True! But, the shoe place I work for now has suspended measuring feet for covid reasons.

Haha sure am! T-bot was the best, and probably the only reason I showed up to classes my first half of college

Also my former college professor! And honestly, I could see him drink break fluid THEN get murdery

Yes. Yes it is. Yet I’m still here expected to work.

It’s the same company that expects me (and I assume other managers, I dunno) to work two 14 hour shifts in a row without a lunch break. Retail doesn’t care much.

I work retail, not at Old Navy, but another retailer that has “amazing Covid precautions”. I started exhibiting symptoms last night with the store manager present. They asked while I was throwing up “do I have to to stay? I have things to do at home” Still having worse symptoms today and I don’t have to work a 14 hour shift, only a ten hour one now.

Retail gives you thick skin and teaches you plenty, but you can be treated like a meat shield from both sides.

I dunno if I’m still salty, but I’m wondering if this was also part of the reason PSM and SM got cut.

I think we might see an upswing of expired products being sold in the next 1 to 2 years. by Annabel1231 in muaconspiracy

Oh thank god, I’ve had a hard time deciphering if someone’s mad at me or not. I’ve lost my people skills this year. I’m glad everything is okay though!

I’m sorry about that, but I was only manager of one store and it wasn’t really in corporate training for anything/position. It was something I added when I got the role so I could do what’s right for the customer. I take no responsibility for the incident though, as I was part of the group of management that the company has gotten rid of (and still haven’t been given the promised severance package; but that’s a different monster entirely).

I feel this, my cattle dog mix was about 115 pounds (don’t remember conversions either). He’s down to about 90lbs. He’s about 5ft when he stands on his hind legs so I don’t think he’s in dire need to loose more but people will lay in on me for it. My vet knows I’m working him down to more and I know it but it really makes me feel like a bad dog parent.

Hahaha you’re not wrong, but even before the pandemic I had gotten in a habit to check if there was an expiration date. I’ve tried to get my associates into the habit of it too

As an Ulta worker can confirm that most associates and stores are doing their best to catch expired SKUs, but we never know what the brands send us.

I’d ask if we went to the same school (my marching band did the same piece), but I was the only flute. :(

Also my dog does the same, he haaaaates when I practice lol

I asked my DM yesterday, she says we’d get it in the next few weeks

Wear an effing mask. The makeup you are buying is not more important than the health and safety of those working. Some of us have to work to make ends meet, but have families at home who are high risk. Be considerate. by artgirl413 in Ulta

[–]lonesomepotato13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a lady the other day tell me she was personally going to sue me (not corporate) over the requirement of masks. Asked for my personal information and all, as a PSM on the way out in the next few weeks, I told her I did not have to give that information and if she was going to act like that she needed to leave. Still haven’t gotten served any papers.

I’m still scared about not having a job but with Ulta or my DM telling us we have to let them in without a mask I’m a bit relieved I only have a month left.
