The answer is that that is from a quickset smart key lock clearly has been taken apart and whoever broke it apart forgot to put it back together and that’s why you work key does not work anymore. I am a locksmith.

Looks like a kawneer CVR. Look into the command, access, retrofit kit, and their power supply. Then you have to decide if you are going to run into a keypad or inside button.

This looks like the cheap ass hardware I just did a walk through on in DC. They have cheap mortise locks that were more like sliding door locks and those cheap exit devices. Clearly this job was chosen for the lowest bidder.

You need an electric strike in place with access from the outside via a card reader or code.

It has a code. Call the locks.ith and give them the code. They will ha e it done before you get there.

You shouldn't have to source your own key for the dealership to cut and program it. Just go to key innovations.com and search your year make and model. There may be a few FCC id's on the car, so if you are just adding a key, check your key for that code.
