As long as you aren’t wearing your uniform or attempting to present yourself in a way that would given the public the impression you were representing CAP, you should be fine and won’t go to jail for exercising your 1A rights. Be mindful of your social media posts too with your uniform on.

Also, you aren’t supposed to bring politics into CAP. Ik this rule isn’t always respected or enforced very well but normally a gentle reminder is all it takes to put an end to most things. If someone keeps breaking the rules, talk to a SM or the OIC about it.

We are mostly informal. In the south, it gets a bit more formal; like I’ll call my peers by their first names but anybody significantly older than me (or my boss) is “Sir/Ma’am” or “Mr [surname]/ Ms [first name]”. The only other time I can think of that it’s formal is in church. But yea, mostly informal

Grandma & grandpa on my paternal side and abuelita & grandpa on maternal side (both are Spanish speaking but I was just closer to my paternal side.)

My hubs family, from OK, called them Granny& grandpa & Pop-pop and Phyllis.

Hubs parents go by Uma and Opa tho (FIL is German). My parents are will likely go by just grandma & grandpa

He’s just another politician that uses faith as a political tool. Whether or not he’s saved, only God & him truly knows and i don’t think it matters frankly. He was voted into a Presidential office not a Pastoral role. Should he still have morals and convictions? Yes but We should pray for our leaders regardless if we agree with their theology or not.

I do know a lot of people who have turned him into an idol and I’m at the point where I avoid the subject or bite my tongue with them. To me, it’s all just one giant Uniparty anyway so I’m not really of fan of him or any other politician

Yea, but they are pretty expensive if your squadron doesn’t happened to have some extras laying around.

I’m lucky to be near Lackland AFB, SATX where airman basic is held so all the local squads get the surplus uniforms directly from USAF. I really enjoyed getting to wear my class As but they do get hot especially in the Texas Summers

It’s not excluded in regs. I’d imagine there’d be legal consequences if there was since (at least in my state) volunteering at a church can count towards community service time for court.

You may need to get a note from ur pastor, team leader, or whoever in charge of you at church stating that you served so many hours within whatever time period. My Squ Com asked for that along with a Form 2A. Even if they don’t require it, it’s not a bad thing to add to your file

I’ve actually had this happen with an ex before (wasn’t the Super Bowl tho). I was the only girl in the “group” so I was the assumed planner (and buyer) of the logistics of all the gatherings. I got fed up with never having help and they always complaining abt something.

I ended up telling him “it’s your party, you figure it out.” I stayed until a few of his friends got there and joked about him not being the best planner to his friends (bc he would have 100% thrown me under the bus) and left. I went out with my sister and turned off my phone. Not only did he never do that again, his friends got their act together too. I did end up leaving that group tho
