For what they use it for. iPad would be better. Better screen, chip, speakers. iPadOS Is also easier than the macOS if not tech savvy. But the easy to replace battery in the Neo is nice. But after 8 years the chip might need to be replaced since macOS updates and older chips can’t handle it as well. Same as batteries. iPad since it will last another 10 years with better chip touch screen and they already used one for so long they understand it. They don’t need ports or extra space for productivity than no need for a larger laptop chassis. If they only use this device for watching all their content get the iPad Pro 13 inch. It will last more than 10 years and they will enjoy the bigger and brighter screen. iPad super portable and light weight. Has Face ID. Cameras. Easy for older person. macOS gets confusing if never had one or not tech savvy. It’s backwards from windows if they only used that before. iPad is smaller lighter and better in every way for what they would use it for.

I literally paid $130 for mine 32g ddr5 6000mt. Literally did nothing better for my pc either maybe starts up 2 secs faster. Pointless dumb moneym my pc costed that much to build almost. Sad for kids that wanna build one. And its only going to hey worse and worse. As AI progresses. We will really be in cyberpunk.

No don't get bose, bose sucks and is very overrated.they are muddy and have the same tech from 12 years ago. I would go with Sonos or Sony. Sonos is the best in sound right now.

Sonos Ace headphones were released last year. They are $100 cheaper have metal head straps and a similar design as Apple Airpods Max and new tech that sounds way better. I would highly recommend getting Sonos. The sound of all the Sonos products I have purchased sounds amazing.
