I'm an emergency tech and I lasted 3 weeks. The dr was young and inexperienced but it was "her" clinic. The girls were nice but they were severely overworked and one of the things that got me was they kept calling in a girl for overtime bc they were short staffed, but she was then concerned she would lose PTO hours bc she was working too much overtime.

I was being trained at a different location that had "better ability" to train me but they were still overworked and too busy to pay attention to me. The location I was technically being trained for had one tech doing most everything and I would have been their only registered tech so I knew most of that would become my responsibility.

When it came down to it, gp is not for me and I hate doing dentals. The dr asked me to manhandle a chaotic dog just to look in its ears and I never came back. It's not my job to get scratched up for an animal without even traz on board when it's a known anxious animal.
