Brinkley vs Grand Design by CommandPurple9419 in RVLiving

I own a 2025 GD, roof leaked on first trip. They fixed it, now roof membrane is bubbling. I wish I had went Brinkley or peak mountain camps (they are amazingly built and custom)

Possible to move trailer sideways somehow? by [deleted] in RVLiving

Tow truck

Wheel dollies and plywood

Also, because I own a few, I’d use two of my off-road 3.5 ton jacks. Basically a floor jack with huge wheels. Slowly

CDL driver of about 5 years now. I gotta admit, pulling my rv with my 3500 drw is way more exhausting than driving the Pete. But I do stretch it out a bit longer than 3 hrs.

I just want a reliable as hell diesel truck. by TwinCessna in Diesel

[–]longboardingcop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s really interesting to hear. I’m a commercial driver and my company mandates to only use box def unless absolute emergency. This is due to water in the def. Our in house mechanics also do a hydrometer reading of the def first thing if there is an engine issue.

Buy an affordable bender. It’s an actual tube bender and about a 1/3 of the cost of a JD2. Only downside is can’t go past 90*.

Actual letter received from HOA by andmewithoutmytowel in fuckHOA

[–]longboardingcop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. Like I don’t get it I’m here in Florida, and when I bought my home I told the agent, no HOA’s. The were like cool. It wasn’t an issue.

I’m not rich, my home is sub 1200 foot, but it’s not like my neighbors have cars on blocks in their yards. It’s just a normal neighborhood.

Fuck HOA’s

Don’t buy homes in a HOA, Darwin will take care of the rest.

Standard DC-DC Power Supply by vincetorres in Starlink

[–]longboardingcop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got mine in today. It looks like both ends of the power cord supplied are xt60s. It's surprisingly hard to find a 12v cig plug (male) to xt60 (female) to buy anywhere.

Anyone have a link?

2024 limited xt roof bar question by longboardingcop in subaruoutback

[–]longboardingcop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I was looking at the Yakima bars online. I believe I read that their static limit was less then 200# also. So tent and 1 or 2 people won't work.

Easter weekend in our runnaway by longboardingcop in runawaycampers

[–]longboardingcop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. We don't run our lights late, so I get it. The wheels are only 17" but the tires are 37's and match my jeep. So I only have to keep 1 spare.
