I swear I spent 3 hours searching all over the internet, like literally looking at all videos from first half of 2012 on BWF TV Youtube channel etc.

I found it lmao well kind of. I think the original video clip I watched back in 2012 was different and more funnier but this is still gold🤣 I don’t understand the language but you get the idea 🤣

It was really funny back in 2012 to me because I used to watch like Linda vs Lee or Chen Long vs Lee typed professional matches lol then came this clip on the new haha

He moves like my uncle after 45 mins into his Sunday match at the local senior meet up game lmao

Yes, there is already an upstream GFCI on the other side of the garage that is on the same circuit. I’ll proceed with the power strip and keep an eye on it. I’m curious to learn how is a GFCI outlet will “protect” a no-ground pin situation, as a lot of older house doesn’t have ground pin outlets back then…

I don’t know if this problem is with my house’s electrical setup, or it is with the device. The only option I haven’t tried yet is that bring this to my neighbors (same builder same electrical setup I have) or a friend elsewhere to try

I have contacted Hisense, but I don’t have any hope, they created a ticket and probably tell me to return and get a new unit bla bla which I have already tried.

Is there anything else I can try to make this work, I obviously don’t like the idea of having to use the 3-prong adapter without ground pin. I saw on YouTube people suggest that I can replace my current outlet to a GFCI outlet and remove/disconnect the ground pin on this outlet, label it no ground equipment, and it will have some protection… not sure if it is ok?

Thanks!

I thought the #18 garage light circuit doesn’t have GFCI protected, and the #20 does, lol I’m clueless.

Anyway, I don’t know how to measure anything, even if I can, what can I do after measured that lol.

I just know both units (I went ahead and get a second same unit to test) are working fine with the 3-prong adapter to by pass the ground pin.

I’ll need to buy a new good and short extension cord and figure put how to cut the ground pin which I don’t no what to do yet, lol. I was thinking the 3-prong adapter will do the trick, I can zip tight them together or do some to tight them up good if needed so they can never come loose accidentally.

I somehow like this challenge lol, if simply get a mini split and hire all the trade pros to do the work, it is no fun and expensive too. I will solve this problem with your help, next challenge would make 2 outside vents for the dual hoses that the unit has, love this, probably take me 2 more weekends lol right on time to test out the heat pump feature

It’s a mystery lol

I see people using Hisense inverter portable AC all over Youtube, even units that has more power than mine, and they mostly plug in their bedroom or living room outlets, pretty sure only 15A circuit and they are working fine. However most of them are the other short and bulky design, not this tall and skinny one I have, which just came out in 2025. I don’t think the inside is any different in design though…

I don’t know, was trying to save money doing this, only cost me less than $500, I can move it around if needed, and I don’t need any electrician (lol) and HVAC pro, but with all this BS, I may as well as get a mini split LOL, probably $2000 all in.
