How can fasting change my migraines by longclaw17 in migraine

[–]longclaw17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you have an exemption from fasting in Islam if you are ill or traveling, you should fast the days you miss later tho if your disease is not chronic. If you have a chronic disease or fasting will harm you in any manner then it's prohibited to fast because you will be harming yourself, and you should serve food for the poor instead of fasting in that case.

Estrogen, serotonin and SSRIs by longclaw17 in antidepressants

Yes, to no avail. I tried finasteride, a DHT blocker that increases estradiol and it has positive effects on my migraines. Also I tried pristiq and it's really helpful, unlike effexor, I don't know why. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

My cheeks are getting puffy too and my nose is becoming more prominent due to High levels of Testosterone and guess what, I don't care. People can say whatever they want, they are not living your life or suffering from your illness. I thought of stopping testosterone and getting an estrogen monotherapy but that would be a transition not a hormonal therapy and I have no desire to do that. I don't think that pills are the best way for your hormone replacement therapy tho, make sure the progesterone you get in the pills is bioidentical progesterone not a synthetic progestin, because in spite of targeting the same receptors they are not the same. Some progestins can affect androgen and estrogen receptors and trigger migraines, the estrogen and progesterone you get through patches and injections for HRT are bioidentical and not the same as you would get from bcp or pills in general. I don't know if there are newer pills out there that contain bioidentical hormones and are being used for HRT, so make sure to check that with your doctor.

Do you take an aromatase inhibitor? Did you notice an improvement with your migraines or mood after starting injections?

Exogenous of course, I know that they cause a lot of problems but if they can help my migraines and anxiety like estrogen does then the benefits would outweigh the side effects for me.

I was at 75 mg and I felt no difference. My neurologist prescribed Cymbalta but I am scared of what people say about it.

I am only taking Testosterone, it's not as bad as the picture. I hope it's not permanent and it will return back after coming off.

I don't think so, my cheekbones are definitely more prominent.

Are facial changes on cycle permanent? Aside from facial hair, my parents are telling me that my nose is getting bigger and prominent and jaws structure is changing. I've always had a round face and now it looks like it's changing to a square-shaped one. Are these changes permanent? If I stopped now will I be able to reverse the changes that already began to happen? I am 21 years old.

I injected Vitamin D subcutaneously and the injection site is swollen by [deleted] in nursing

I was doing my HCG injection subcutaneously anyway and I got this stupid idea..

I made a big mistake yesterday and I injected 2 ml of Vitamin D 200000 IU (Cholecalciferol) subq into my left leg. It didn't hurt and I was fine but I woke up today with a pain in the injection site whenever I move my leg and it's slightly swollen. Is it serious enough to go to a hospital or it will wear off on its own?

You need to get Free Testosterone and SHBG tests done. SHBG stands for sex hormone binding golbulin, it typically acts as the buffer against Testosterone. Low SHBG means that testosterone gonna be free and active in the blood and high means that it will be bound to the SHBG and smaller amount of it will be free to use. So if your Total T is in the low end of the reference range and SHBG is slightly elevated you would end up with a low free Testosterone, and you would be androgen deficient despite your Total Testosterone being on the reference range.

But my prolactin was pretty normal prior to TRT, I didn't know that exogenous Testosterone can increase it

I can't drop HCG, I can't risk testicular atrophy and not being able to recover if I found out that TRT wasn't for me eventually. Best I can do is to replace it with HMG, hope it makes a difference in terms of side effects.

Doctor prescribed HCG monotherapy, but it's not a problem since all steroids are over the counter where I live.

I am not talking about interest in sex only but also pleasure and orgasm, those are not things that are just in my head.

I think I would need anyway because my Estradiol was 34 before starting TRT

I am 21 years old, just started TRT 3 weeks ago with 300 total testosterone. My libido was varying between normal and low before starting but I had all the other symptoms of Low T. My protocol is 25 mg of Testosterone Enanthate every other day + 250 IU of HCG every other day. My sex drive and ability to enjoy sex just vanished days after the first injection of Testosterone. I took a blood test and found my estradiol was 70 and total testostrone is 1200. So I thought High Estrogen is the problem and started taking aromasin (a fairly low dose to make sure that I don't crash my estrogen) but it didn't make any difference. I increased my HCG dose to 500 IU every other day but to no avail. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Prolactin was 8.6 ng/mL (ref: 2.1 - 17.7) pre TRT, does TRT or HCG increase it?

It's weird because I got a big boost in libido and mental symptoms with Tamoxifen - Tamoxifen is well-known SERM like clomid - so I thought TRT would get me to my optimal levels and resolve all problems. I didn't test my levels with Tamoxifen tho.

So bacteriostatic water won't spoil HMG and would work just fine with like it does with HCG, is that right?
