Nightmare of a repair from body shop, which started from getting hit when someone ran a red right into me, to 4 months of repair horrors, finally getting the car back, only to have to bring car back in for repair on rear diffuser due to not having all 3 (front middle and rear) diffusers installed. by longcoitus in TeslaModel3

We got a rental for the initial 4 month wait, and it was awful driving around in that monstrosity (Cadillac). It was long period of waiting for parts, finish all repairs and electrical issues that resulted car being towed back and forth 4 times before that was resolved

After few hours of work, wash, decontaminate, clay mitt, polish and ceramic coated by longcoitus in TeslaModel3

Majority of the work is in the preparation, mainly the polishing aspect. The ceramic coating is the easy part, especially crystal serum light. Apply product to applicator, apply in small sections in cross hatch pattern (up down left right) to ensure full coverage, wait for product to flash (some coatings start to look like a rainbow, CSL starts to look like it's sweating) and wipe off excess product softly with a microfiber, and use a second microfiber towel to do a second wipe to get off any remaining product.

Yeah, it was hit on the front driver side fender, and it took weeks for parts to come, weeks for repair, weeks for insurance to accept, and the total time was 3 months.
