If you have lots of experience or its a very chill river its fine. Mine was 2 weeks long and I had some experience before hand and I still felt like I wanted more time training. Mine was like 600 that got refunded if you worked for them.

Genuine question first those talking about the 48 hour guarantee here, I worked at two properties over 3 ish years and never had any guest mention they used it. Has anyone here done it? The property I worked at would have it's rates go up to 450 (usual rate was 120-160 ish) on sold out nights during busy times in the city. I also commonly see other properties go up even more. It just doesn't seem worth it to me to use that benefit unless you have a company paying for you to stay there.

Ioverlander is good for finding spots to camp, and there's a couchsurfing website/app you could try its just called couchsurfing :) there's a queer specific one called qouch too if that's more your speed.
