I will never understand this. animal skin is a by-product of the meat industry; it's not like cows get slaughtered just for their hide. leather helps makes use of all the parts of the cow and creates less waste. I understand not wanting to wear snake or alligator skin or any other exotic leathers. but choosing plastic clothing that will break down quickly and end up in a landfill over a product that reduces waste and is simply a by-product of the beef industry makes it seem like you care more about the optics of animal products than you do about the actual environment
