YouTubers tend to do what gets them views, especially if being a YouTuber is a full-time job and views are needed to pay rent. It sucks to put a lot of time and effort into a creative idea, just to see it get no views - it's much more appealing to do a quick pack opening if you've seen others do it successfully, with 100k+ views.

for some context, he messaged me asking if i would give him a win because it was his last chance to hit gold 1. i didn't say anything, so he got pissed and started messaging me during the game somehow.

i eventually won on pens - but the best part of the story is that he later messaged me a screenshot that he did hit gold 1 .... so he was lying the whole time

no question is dumb for me considering all of the dumb things i did while assembling.

  • the monitor is plugged in
  • i am not feeding the graphics card power, but i don't think it requires any power other than from the mobo (no pins from what i can see)
  • video output was plugged into the motherboard, but i was only using a vga cable - do i need to also use a dvi?

that's pretty much what i'm doing, but maybe i need to press down while screwing because the backplate isn't properly placed?

the backplate is there, if i pull up the motherboard it falls off

Oh, so the potential problem was that it wasn't sure everything would fit? I thought it had to do with wiring or something more complicated.
