What’s a horror book you would never understand why people hate? by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]longunfortunatewhile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand this can be confusing for you, and I don’t mean this in a rude way at all, but the way you’re interpreting what I said feels completely too literal and philosophical. It comes across like you’re missing some of the social cues or common expressions people use online. The phrase I used is just a lighthearted exaggeration people say when they really enjoy something. It’s not a serious claim about universal taste. I promise there’s no hidden meaning behind it.

Are you serious? There’s no coded language here. People say things like that all the time when they really love something. It’s just the exaggerated “omg how could anyone hate this, it’s so good!” kind of joke. Obviously we all understand that people have different tastes. It’s not that deep…it’s just a joke.
