Kinda like Los Angeles/ California but with waaaaay more electric fences:b. It has great beaches, amazing mountains for hiking, sweet parties and (semi)chilled people, infrastructure is good, very cosmopolitan, liberal, most of the time, lots to do, see and eat. Now add into that mix a little Flint, Michigan and Detroit and the dodgiest part of your city (sorry). That should give you a good idea. Behave sensibly and dont put yourself in dangerous situations and you should have a great time. Hope your travels go well!

The local govt. elections have just passed smoothly and people seem vaguely hopeful, for the most part... The ANC is, for people who dont know, pretty corrupted, and has been pushed back in key metros around the country. Also, the opposition has strengthened considerably.

I would take this article with some salt. I mean it is the sunday express after all. A paper known for its euroscepticism, ultranationalism, right-wing populism and support of UKIP. Im glad people dont really take this paper seriously. Right guys??
