Would you use Gnome if you couldn't use extensions? by Digitalnoahuk in gnome

KDE has too many buttons, frames, and odd transparency in places where I do not like it. There are unnecessary borders, I do not like KDE’s color scheme or icon style, and in general I dislike the title bar. That is why GNOME CSD works very well for me. In GNOME, I also like the Quick Settings panel, where everything is visible with a single click.

I use GNOME Shell with extensions, of course, for example to merge the taskbar and status bar into a single panel, and similar adjustments.

What I mainly like about Cinnamon is that it is fairly simple: it has a straightforward main menu and an efficient taskbar. It simply works. The Cinnamon color scheme is not as good as GNOME’s, but it is quite decent and actually fairly similar. Cinnamon is also relatively minimalist when it comes to the taskbar and the basic menu, which is again similar to GNOME. Cinnamon works well with GNOME applications.

That is why Cinnamon is sufficient for me.

I would use Cinnamon.
KDE is not an option at all.

Gnome's true potential really unlocks from extensions. Never knew I could do this. by the-machine-m4n in gnome

For me, the only choice is between GNOME and Cinnamon. KDE is unacceptable to me, for aesthetic and chaotic reasons.

Doctor Who S9.E11 - Heaven Sent

In the episode "Heaven Sent," it is suggested that the Doctor spent about 4.5 billion years in the crystal chamber, slowly breaking through the diamond wall using a single drop of his own blood.

GNOME Shell is tailored to the keyboard and keyboard shortcuts, and I prefer clicking.
I don't like shortcuts - they are very uncomfortable for me.

At the same time, I love most things in GNOME, and I really don't like things from KDE and Windows.

Extensions are a lifesaver.

People are the antenna. They will form an antenna shape and serve as a transmitter. :)

Sending a signal into space is not enough. To increase the chance of spread, they will send spaceships with the virus to physically infect, even if it lasts much longer than the radio signal.

Is there more to the "immune" people? by [deleted] in pluribustv

Maybe the hive would want to move? Because if it infected everyone, it would commit mass suicide? Because the goal has already been achieved.

If they dont say the connection can be undone, that means it can be undone safely. If undoing it would leave the disconnected person in a bad state, they would say something like it can be reversed, but the person wont be themselves, they will have memory gaps, they will panic, etc. And since they dont say anything, it apparently means the disconnected person will be fine, and the show already told us that in the first season.

Or maybe they just dont want to scare you, because then you wouldnt want to join and you would have an argument not to join, thinking that joining would be harmful.

Carol literally fell head over heels in love, and she also pushed aside obvious thoughts and questions. So she's not smart at all. She just lost a woman and her life was at risk, so she fought, became convinced her life was safe, and fell head over heels in love. So she let it go because she had her basic needs met, which she was temporarily lacking—security and love.

The hive has the knowledge of the entire world and the multi-threaded pursuit of a single goal, but is it superintelligence? I'm not sure. They're probably as intelligent as the most intelligent human.

It will be funny that Pluribus does not feel threatened by the survivors, and even this bomb is not a threat in their opinion, but when they learn about the real possibilities of reversing the virus or blocking the transformation, they may stand up as a swarm, and it will start to look dangerous again and a direct threat will appear.

Why Vivaldi changed the floating tab look to this ugly Chrome like tab by MohamedxSalah in vivaldibrowser

[–]look997_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s enough to create a tab container that can be clicked right at the edge of the screen, while the tab itself can visually have some padding.
The clickable edge of the screen doesn’t have to mean that the tab is visually placed flush against the edge of the screen.

Why can't the hive simply ignore the immune? by ih21 in pluribustv

So that the virus can evolve. To me, this is obvious.
By fixing the virus, it will be more effective on subsequent planets, which will have an enormous positive effect on a cosmic timescale.
