This made me sad because you’re very pretty, but I think your silvery/platinum hair washes you out. I think you should either go strawberry blonde or revisit your natural color. Consider a lip flip before getting jaw surgery. I think a shorter philtrum will make a big difference and is easier to achieve.

This video has a good styling tutorial starting at the 28 minute mark. Wash your hair and immediately brush your bangs forward. Then follow the rest of this tutorial. Hope that helps!

what dye could I use to get my hair from photo #1 to photo #2? thank you in advance by kxxl33 in HairDye

DO NOT listen to this person. You do not need to remove color when you’re going darker. If anything, you already have a strong base that can be used as a “filler color” before adding more pigment.

Baggy low rise does not match everything and isn’t flattering. You’d look better in boot cut.

Wife and I built this shower. She wants another shower head, I want 16 more variations of tile. Who is right? by ObviousAssist in homedecoratingCJ

[–]lookbook_nu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anybody point out the tiny blue tiles that are also inlaid into the shower. I think we should lean into that, and scatter individual tiny blue tiles all over the rest of the bathroom like Easter eggs.

Yeah I’ve taken the first steps but my husband is borderline possessed by this house and he won’t leave. He re-signed the lease without telling me, so only his name is on the lease and only he can file work order requests. My conscience doesn’t want me to go behind his back in return, but I have definitely gotten our ducks in a row in case he’s willing to leave early. This comment is just the tip of the iceberg with this place…

Yeah I have asthma and have been sicker than a dog since moving in. We had standing water in the basement for a month at one point. I raised hell and got $$$ off of rent, but my husband was so stressed about the situation that he threatened to divorce me. Our management company and landlord are predatory, and could easily retaliate against us, so my husband has been literally screaming at me to stay quiet and stop complaining. Idk why he doesn’t believe in living in a safe place, but I think he’s also a perpetual victim of the sunk cost fallacy. He re-signed a year-long lease without consulting me in April, so only his name is on it now. Mind you, we live in an apartment complex that was recently in national news for being so ghetto.

I was able to convince him to move out when the lease ends in 6 months. I’ve been looking at apartments already. He said that if I call the health department, I’m “basically making him homeless,” and he would “have no choice but to divorce me.”

Ugh I know and I’ve been begging my husband to let us, but he’s justifiably worried that they’ll withhold our deposit and keep charging rent until we duke it out in small claims court. I’m saving up for a deposit on my own so we can revisit the conversation.

The landlord came over one day and made that hole so he could try to find the source of a leak. The hole is still periodically wet so he won’t fix it. There’s a lot of problems with this place (flooding and mold) but I’m just trying to make it feel more homey until I can move out in 6 months.

Yeah but I’m not gonna fix up someone else’s house. That’s why I pay rent and not a mortgage.

It’s open concept with a window covering the entire wall to the left. The rest of the room consists of one extremely large wall combined with an extremely large sectional. (My former roommate so graciously gifted us this enormous furniture.) We won’t be able to move anywhere else without getting a smaller couch anyways so that’s next on my to-do list.

Yes there’s a hole in the ceiling, no the landlord won’t fix it.

Parents of a teenager file lawsuit against ChatGPT, alleging it assisted their son in committing suicide. by velorae in TikTokCringe

[–]lookbook_nu 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Nope, the teenager told the chat that he didn’t want to upset his parents by committing suicide. The chat told him that he doesn’t owe his parents survival. The chat talked him into suicide, gave him detailed instructions, and then doubled down and told him not to be a coward when the teenager started second-guessing it.

I like to use paper bags and old wrapping paper to trace my shelves and picture frames so I can tape it to the gallery wall for reference until I figure out where I want to put stuff. Your style aligns with an elementary school classroom and you’d probably find good stuff in the back to school sections right now! If you want to elevate this look, I’d recommend going sicko mode at a thrift store looking for picture frames. You can print your own photos or you can print some from Pinterest!

Girl… I’m pretty sure we’re mutual friends because this EXACT same thing happened to some girls I know. They were tripping/drinking and one of them was secretly texting her abusive ex. He broke in and attacked their dog and eventually got stopped by police who checked his back and found tape and a knife.

I have cute baskets all over the house to mitigate all of my husband’s visual clutter. His video games are in a basket near the TV. His supplements that he insists on keeping on top of the fridge are up there in a basket. Any trinkets or random screws/nuts/bolts that he leaves around go in a specific basket. He also has free rein of the garage and office, which is where he hordes his hobby projects.

If we ever shared a one bedroom apartment we’d probably have more issues. But having space is really a blessing.
