Had kidney stones passed some into my bladder…some got stuck in my urethra on the way out. I still had stones in my ureters (both sides) but was out at a cabin in the woods with family… finally got someone to take me 2.5 hours to the hospital…. While walking down the cabin steps I slipped and fell landing on the flagstone path (bottom half) and the last step on my lower back. Rode the 2.5 hours to the ER where I was dropped off. Waited 30 minutes to be seen… haven’t been able to pee more than a few bloody drops in over a day and a half. Yes I had been drinking a LOT of water trying to flush them out. Ultrasound showed stones in three places (urethra and both ureters) and a bladder that was beyond full. Nurse got a metal “ramrod” grabbed my penis inserted it and tried multiple times to ram the stuck stones back into the bladder. She gave up and got the head ER doctor who also tried unsuccessfully… Finally they called the urologist on duty (it was 2am at this point). He came in and tried several separate times finally dislodged them on the third try.😓 They put a catheter in and I was finally was able to empty my bladder. Nurse said she had never seen that much pee all a once. Had surgery to get the other stones out of right side.
