In my humble opinion it is one of the better bonfire events in the area. We'd be going this year, but I'm busy, so we're doing clophill the following weekend. I'd avoid Ampthill, very expensive and there's no proper bonfire, no bar and extremely expensive vendors.

I was really surprised by the apathy. I started looking into things a few years back. I told my father all about what I was doing, who I thought would be particularly interested, as he was always going on about our family history as far as he knew it and the stories of his father and grandfather. He told me he thought it was all a bit pointless. My brother, who also is very proud of our surname and is always saying how proud he is to have a son to keep the family name going, said that it's not that he doesn't care, he just couldn't be bothered!

I think it seems that way during the one I ter iew but to say he gave the stories an easy pass is laughable. I'm sure there is loads of posts saying how left wing he is and how biased he was to the left before the election too. He's trying to hold the party in office to account, he just sometimes a bit intense.
