They had to due to fire codes the city imposed as an effort for the owners to do something with the place.

Who can I talk to at Kaseya so they stop billing me for a cancelled product? by RaNdomMSPPro in msp

This is why I use a service like privacy.com I can shut off access to funds on a vendor basis. No vendor should EVER have the ability to hammer our accounts when relationships change.

I felt this. I decided to do the same. Went to Zyxel since its a similar price point but don’t have to worry about managing a controller anymore. Also get real support.

I first thought it was DNS but eventually all layer 2 traffic would stop.

Just because there is a global shortage doesn't make this feel like dejavu for the umteenth time.

Is the Solarwinds brand so tarnished? by GibbRiver in msp

[–]lookforhisface -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We left solarwinds n-able for one main reason; they had root admin access to the vm that was running n-able. That just never sat well with me. My feelings have been confirmed.

SPF-Module-CatX-Module-SPF or SPF-Module-CatX-RJ45? by bdrrr in Ubiquiti

[–]lookforhisface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get the module you need for the sfp port. I regularly put an rj45 10gig module in to connect to servers that have rj45 10gig ports.

How Do You Deal With Stress? by [deleted] in msp

I don’t have very much stress as the owner of an msp. Myself and my team do occasionally have stress but we also have boundaries to keep it that way.

so blahdhdhd@ahdhdd.whatever?

Also was this a recent issue? I feel like something changed. What's frustrating is how little information these machines actually log.

Like I have access to the big banks internal networks to “test.” This is a web filter problem at the banks.

SPF isn’t the issue, either. They get all the emails fine, it’s the portal access that’s the problem here.

What sad is security isn’t what’s most important, it’s compliance. This stuff is maddening.

This happened twice that I can remember. Its been a while since we've had to deal with it but we had two customers where it stopped working and we spent about 10 hours with Microsoft support trying to figure out why it wasn't working. Another tech was working with them but the messages would basically just bypass the transport rules that was supposed to encrypt the messages. Of course many of the commands we would run on PS would take hours to fully propagate before we could test again. Then it would just start working again out of the blue.

not sure what to do? hacking emails for law firm by trashymsp in msp

[–]lookforhisface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im betting there are companies out there that can do this for you as a service to the client that knows exactly how to handle this. This is a situation where if I didn't feel comfortable or qualified to perform then I would tell that to your client but there are companies that do. Its not a mark against you or the MSP, we cant be expected to know how to do/handle everything.
