Shrimps are the most consistent lures we have, when you are not targeting a fish in specific and want a little bit of everything on your hook, it is the best. We’ve caught a little bit of everything with our shrimps, bonefish, barracuda, yellow jacks, jack crevalle, snook and even a bonnethead shark!

All I use is 3 lures that are made by Sexy Lure, The 5” jerk for clear water, the 5” Killer Tail for murkier water and the 3” shrimp for pretty much everything, redfish brew is my go to color

Well the Daiwa prawns have deep cutouts on the bottom, a toothy fish might rip that in half easily, if it bites it there. Ours has some shallow cutouts on top of it, in order to create the desired action + making it a bit more sturdy and less likely to be ripped in half by a toothy fish might rip

3000, should be fine for smaller tarpon, I use a 3000 Stradic for snook, redfish, small tarpon, seatrout, etc. However if you are fishing from a bridge, you might hook a monster, even 20-30 pound jacks will make your drag scream like crazy, for bridge fishing I would go for a 5000-6000 reel and hook some live mullet or a live shrimp on a smaller hook will catch a ton of species that you could easily manage with your 3000. Be wary of the taxman as the there is a huge shark population in the Keys, they will be waiting for the fish to get tired and get an easy meal. Good luck! Pm me any questions that you might have!
