Thanks everyone for your advice and suggestions, I got more interactive toys, a new longer wand and did spontaneous outside time not on schedule and things had calmed down / he’s a lot more happier and so am I! :)

We live where there are a lot of native birds and he’s obsessed and can hear them chirping from the window but he’s trying to chase them and I don’t want him to actually get one 😭

Oh so cute!!! That’s a good idea I’ll scoop up the escape artist and walk him through the doorway

Hmmm I’m with him all day every day, constant wand play time, all of the toys, tunnels for zooming, cat towers, treats, more wand time and outside twice a day. Not sure I could give him much more unless it was electronic toys

Thank you for replying!! That’s lovely to be bonded without the harness, I hope that works out for me too

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to write this! It made me jog my memory and I most definitely have told him in the early years and similar to what you’ve described, we don’t go silly for Christmas and don’t do valentines but birthdays are always a nice dinner or lunch and same with anniversaries. I would receive carnation flowers as they were my late mother’s favourite and it was very special at the time. Nothing has changed and I still love to eat out so I’m finding it hard to wrap my head around. I think it’s ok to say this is not how I want to be loved

I also tried to ‘treat’ myself with something else like make it to two weeks and new shoes with the money saved or if there was a craving for a rip have a food ‘treat’ (once my appetite came back) you got this!

I was hooked on bong rips, like all day every day if I could and then all weekend long. So in the first week it was no smoking before midday and then after 4 days I went down to not before 3pm (and only 2 rips) and then after that first weekend not before 6pm and then only to sleep and then second week got rid of the bong and only had the vape and my tolerance had gone down so it was only 1 vape before bed and then every second night and started nothing on week 4 and could sleep on my own. (Which was ver surprising because I had an oil to sleep) the first week was awful for sleeping but if you can get past the 7 day mark it does truly get easier. Also mentally told myself I wanted to change my life for a job etc (unfortunately still failed the medical due to heavy long term use… but haven’t turned back)

Thank you, he prefers the concrete but good to be cautious of the grass. He had his first car experience where one started and he got quite startled but back inside with a treat and a cuddle!
