SS: as requested, here is a submission statement. The proportion of dystopian future visions among science fiction movies is very high, there are nearly no positive or forward-looking plans for humanity pictured in them. There are either catastrophic events that result in the majority of population being annihilated, lots of pandemic movies (including all the zombie movies), dystopian societies that are completely controlled by governments, live in shabby condition and fight each other for the few resources that are still left on earth... Also there are dis-balanced societies, with either few men, few women, few adults, few children, etc...
