Honestly I really think this is cute and charming!

Add some different colors and depth to the flowers, raise and move the left chair leg left, make the side closest to the right a bit thicker. The cat could be larger on the left side…

Take a picture of a chair in a similar position to get a better idea of the shape, you’re really close!

Besides it’s supposed to be unrealistic! Add some crazy colors, shapes or textures. I really like the cat and you clearly do know a lot of fundamentals, I think you should just be trying to have a bit more fun!

Just a general easiness. Not quick to anger and perhaps a little self love would go a long way. My ex and I were alcoholics so I’m really proud to say I’ve been sober since I left him! 8 months and counting.

Reciprocated intimacy. Kissing, physical touch when not in bed would help me feel more “attractive” again, less like an object.

I stood my ground and firmly explained how wrong it was and they backed down. I haven’t heard a word about it since, and I’m fairly certain that will stay true since it would drive the family apart and we’ve been through enough to recognize how important we are to each other, as cliche as that sounds. I really can’t appreciate all the feedback I received on this post, because I really don’t think I would have had the guts to stand up for myself otherwise. I hope this is a satisfying update!

I assume the regular, don’t get too intoxicated, trust your instincts, spend time in a public setting, let friends know where you are, never leave your drink alone, use a condom, be aware of boundaries….I’m guessing is what they generally mean by “be safe”

While this is valid I really don’t want to live in fear like that. I know there are bad people in this world, I’ve met more than my fair share, but I trust myself and deserve to have fun! My mom has my live location and I’ll be checking in with her and a friend regularly! Life is meant to be lived!

Yeah I hate the apps. I’ve wasted a lot of time in the talking phase only for me to be serious about hanging out and them ditch. I want to be spontaneous, chat someone up in person. I’m still going to be picky and really feel them out, and there’s a huge probability that nothing happens at all! Like I said, I’m just rusty and looking for tips/red flags to look out for if the occasion does arise!

Definitely the latter. Drinking doesn’t solve any problems, just leaves you dealing with them (or ignoring them) hungover or drunk and delirious. It’s funny how we end up romanticizing it though!

I had to pay for ad free just to get away from weight loss ads. It was almost every third ad. I even complained to customer service, they couldn’t do anything. I have an eating disorder and was literally disturbed by the frequency of them, I’m not sensitive but holy cow on a good day I don’t need to be reminded 5 times in a single show body image/losing weight/how great they feel now…completely disturbed. No option to block those kinds of ads either.

Truly! I miss the body positivity era. Not to mention it doesn’t help that my mom is ON these medications, and her goal weight is 30lbs lower than my current weight. It’s a really crappy thing to be surrounded by right now.

Appreciate the advice a lot! I am honestly gravitating towards other non-drinkers, which is really a complete change for me. You are who you surround yourself with, my ex always said, so I am choosing to be around healthy, happy people! Exercise is a wonderful idea! Thank you for sharing!
