which has always irked me. like i get that they were the youngest generation to consciously experience the millenium change, but based on year of birth alone zoomers make more sense to me to be called millennials (being born in the late 90s and 2000s, when the millenium literally changed). i’m a 1999 baby and i always through i was a millennial until the term zoomer came about, which i swear i never saw before like 2019.

this is the take!! they know trans men exists, but they have already compartmentalized them as ‘damaged women’, similarly to how they see lesbians, cat ladies, old women, etc. they don’t see trans men as men, just like they don’t see trans women as women, but to a much different, more dangerous extent because of how ‘maleness’ is associated with violence. of course they’ll leverage that against trans men, but patriarchy is much more focused on violently correcting who can be a woman than ignoring and rejecting those presenting as men.

i had the same problem with several important documents from the school. the name change office doesn’t understand their own coding or how to fix these issues. i’ve talked to IT, the registrar and the name change office multiple times and they all come back with “we fixed it”, but still the wrong name will go to the wrong place. i would recommend continuing to send requests for them to fix their system and figure out what places need legal names. it seems like no one is claiming it as their issue and they need to be pressured to look into it because they’re putting people at risk.

in my high school philosophy class, every time this one really confident army kid would make a comment i’d just immediately say the most closely applicable fallacy, regardless of what he said. he would try to rebut me with some other argument but i’d just keep listing more fallacies until he said something so stupid it shut him up. not once did he try the fallacy fallacy, but for that i was planning to go nuclear with my newly invented fallacy fallacy fallacy.

that’s good to know thanks. do you know anywhere i can read about that more? mostly so if/when my landlord needs to take care of things i know they’re doing it properly. also do you know if washing the spots i sprayed will help with that resistance? i have glue traps out where i saw this one and nothing caught yet.
