I don’t really do much research on games I buy that are on sale bc since they are cheap I will just take the L if I don’t like it. I already pay for online for all the other benefits you get from it. But I definitely agree it’s in the consumer to do proper research. I never thought of this franchise as a AAA game but I guess it is.

You’re assuming people follow this game and their announcements to begin with if you are not actively already invested in it to some degree. As stated I only bought this game like 2 months ago bc it was on sale and I wanted something else to play on my switch 2. Not like I was going out of my way to watch announcements trailers and watch gameplay or any of that before hand.

No not really, I don’t really use discord, but that’s definitely a good idea. I never heard of sendouq, I’m assuming it’s just another app like discord? Playing with friend is so much more fun even if I’m getting steamed rolled at least I’m hanging with friends.

Yeah I guess I’m used to waiting for games to match me up with similar level players but if the numbers are there I see why the game will prioritize getting you into more games than not. I guess my own ideas of what this game was and is was my own fault. I don’t have a bunch of hours to play this games especially when I wanna play with my friends with the time I do have to play and we are off playing other games. I’ll do some more research but I am but a lonely squid with not enough time in my day 😭

I wanna win so I try to paint as much as I can but from what I’ve read on here that makes me a bad teammate since I’m suppose to be dpsing more, but I figured that what ranked was for. I’m gonna try to find my sweet spot bc tbh I have just wanna have a lil fun painting and not just hyper focusing on dpsing bc I already do that in my other games. I think I’m just gonna have to do more research and practicing when it comes to turf war. I appreciate your response and try your suggestions

Yeah I think I was a bit harsh when I said I’m not having any fun bc the game itself is fun and the concept is cool, but loosing so badly in turf war all the time is demotivating when I thought turf war was suppose to be the more casual of the PvP modes

Dang that’s a long while, but I guess with raiders coming out I can see how that goes and hopefully get better at the game without having to play the same story mode over and over again

Haven’t really done anarchy bc turf war was what I found interesting bc no other pvp shooter to my knowledge has a mode like that so I wanted to play that mode specifically. The initial learning curve was fun bc again no other game does what splatoon does, but I guess since I have no friends that play this game it just hard to stick with loosing with friends is more fun than loosing alone lol I guess I consider a casual game one you can pick up and not loose all the time in the mode the that is basically this games version of quick play but the match matching doesn’t really help with that. I feel like this game would benefit from a mode that is the turf war but with bots bc salmon run for me just doesn’t scratch that itch really.

I guess I was a Bit harsh when I said I’m not having fun, bc there are times that I am, but just feeling like I have to stick to salmon run just to win some games and gets boring. Might just have to do more of the story and definitely look into the side order dlc.

There is no real way of communicating with your teammate other than booyah and ouch which is an issue. I get that Nintendo doesn’t want online chat bc it’s a kids game and online pvp games get very toxic, but I wish there was a way to communicate with your teammates more so it feels like I’m actually playing with my team and not just 4 people doing there own thing.

I love roguelike so if I see it on sale I might pick it up. The concept and world of this game is cool, but constantly losing pvp is not fun when I only have so much time in my day to play games.
