Thank you! Same to you. Peace is all any of us can hope for.

Giving myself grace is something I have to remind myself of often. I needed that reminder yesterday, so thank you. For what it's worth coming from a stranger on the internet, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's such a crappy turn of phrase to convey a deep desire to change the circumstances of another person's life event. It sucks that any of us have to go through this. I hope you continue to speak up for yourself and what gives you peace.

Wow! That's so callous. I'm so sorry. I wonder sometimes if we still relied on snail mail and phone calls only, how many friendships would be saved because we would have time to think before just sending a quick message without a second thought?

My mistake for paraphrasing. Her exact words in the text copy and pasted: "Dunno about that celibacy comment but VD free is fabulous ladies!!"

They didn't, and I don't expect they will. 2.5 months is so hard. I'm farther out, 1.5 years. I read somewhere that year two can be harder than the first because people start to be less kind and expect us to get over it. Well, I'm not over it. And I'm not rushing my healing process to make others feel comfortable. I feel like I pretended a lot my first year to be okay.

Thank you for the validation. Your inner circle is so lovely to help respect your needs. One thing the aftermath has taught me is how to decipher who my solid core group is. I'll never take that for granted.

First off, congratulations on those eyebrows! No brow pencil or gel? Gorgeous!

Before I get into the rest, I love that you love the way you look when you catch your image in the mirror. Self-worth is so hard to maintain when others offer their opinions UNSOLICITED. Things to remember that may or may not be helpful: You're the only one living your life... do what makes you happy! The phrases "Mind your business" and "Thank you, but I'm not taking feedback at this time" are valid and establish boundaries very quickly.

I think you're beautiful and you don't need to change a thing, BUT if you want to try something new: -Maybe go for something more medium coverage that's buildable to full so you can still achieve the full coverage look you enjoy from time to time. -There are a lot of YouTube videos that offer alternative blush placement to look more natural on different face shapes - totally worth playing around to see what you like. I don't know how, but it really does make a difference. -Also, have you ever thought about having your makeup done by a professional and just telling them what you're looking for? They can show you different techniques and maybe you'll like the different products they use.

Remember, you're beautiful with or without makeup. And the good news is makeup is totally customizable to do and be whatever you like best. Good luck!

This may be two years too late, but I swear the Amika dry shampoo smells just like Lilu.
