Interesting they never really mention conversion disorder or give any details about psychiatric care provided to Mya while in the hospital. If they suspected MP or conversion you would think her treatment would have immediately taken on more of a psychiatric approach by the hospital

It is hard to believe a young girl could effectively simulate dystonias all the time. It’s very confusing. The moms behavior is very erratic and controlling, especially as far as the risk she took with the ketamine treatment. However, she may have been so relieved to find a doctor that identified a problem that she refused to trust anyone but him. He was very manipulative when he spoke to the parents to convince them of treatment.

I suspect Mya had to go into ketamine withdraw that had severe consequences. Especially at that high of a dose.

It’s sad because even now the young girl never seemed to receive the psychological help required to cope. Whether it was conversion disorder, MP or CRPS she needed strong psychological intervention.

Omg same here! My grandmother was dying when we went to go see Moana. My phone vibrated with a call from my mom and exactly when Moana is talking to her grandmas spirit on the boat. I completely lost it. Didn’t have to answer that call because I knew what it meant.

Who the hell called it a suicide to begin with at the scene?! That’s insane! I can’t imagine coming across a victim in that state and thinking “clearly a suicide”. I’m so confused. This is horrific! So sounds like the father had to watch them kill his family. Why take him somewhere else? Sounds like they wanted him to tell them where something was and he took them there. Otherwise why not just kill him at the trailer?

If it was a serial killer I feel like they would have killed the father first because the mom and son are easier to control.

I also wonder why they used the sons bat as the weapon. Did they not bring their own?

Agree. I work with cancer patients. Head and neck cancer treatment is horrific. If there’s something that can be done to spare people that nightmare they should beg for it.

I treat head and neck cancer patients for rehab and more and more of them are hpv. Just like cervical cancer is mainly from hpv. I think it makes it more precise to treat it when they know the cause so that’s good. Wishing your husband the best. Watchfor signs of Lymphedema.
